Wobby is made on a risograph printer so the colours are bright and shockingly vibrant. The art is loaded with all the originality you’d expect from the international contemporary artists, illustrators and writers it features.
With roots in The Southern Netherlands (Tilburg) and Flanders, Wobby has comic absurdity in its DNA. But it doesn’t stop there; the volatile wit and subversion of its coruscating pages are proof that Wobby is also a worthy antidote to today’s digital hegemony. Hold it in your hands! Wobby is a quarterly. Maximum doses of eye-popping images four times a year make you crave its creativity. Wobby is a limited edition of 550 copies. It’s themed too. Previous titles include ‘Nasty Stuff’, ‘Outbreak’ and ‘Wicked Women’. The magazine features new and original artwork from about 15 artists from around the world. All of them dedicated to investigating illustration, drawing, graphic design, figuration, narration, and sheer visual wackiness.
